Although the SMX League is a keeper league, 2008 is our innaugural season so there are likely a few teams that will not be back next year. We expect full participation in the league and the message boards. Therefore, for the first few seasons, myself and the moderators will be watching which teams are actively involved and which ones are just mailing it in each week. During the offseason we will decide who stays and who goes until we have an active & competitive league.

Also, if there is enough interest in the future, I am looking into the possibility of expanding the league. Please note that, in order for this to happen, there would have to be at least 12 additional people interested. This is because I am not in favor of expanding the league past 12 teams but I would consider adding a completely separate conference that would only compete against the other in the championship game.

Again, we expect active participation. We are not going to boot a marginal owner just because some noob registers for the boards, makes a bunch of posts right before the draft and wants into the league. If you can prove that you can stick with it by being active on the boards then there's a good chance that we'll find a spot for you.

If you are interested in joining the league please leave a post here and stay active on the boards. There is an openning in the league right now as one of our owners dragged their feet a little too long and got booted already.
